For nearly three years, gamers have awaited any word about Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas VR. It was originally announced in 2021 as a title for the Meta Quest 2. But as Meta moved on to the Meta Quest 3, further updates about the game were scarce. Now, Meta has said that GTA: San Andreas VR is “indefinitely delayed.”

In response to a comment on its official YouTube channel, a Meta Quest VR representative stated that “GTA: San Andreas is on hold indefinitely while we both focus on other projects. We look forward to working with our friends at Rockstar in the future.” Meta confirmed the news to IGN shortly thereafter.

The remake train will continue for Resident Evil, with Resident Evil Zero reportedly being one of two remakes in development at Capcom. Alongside the prequel, a reimagining of Resident Evil: Code Veronica is supposedly in the works, too.

According to well-known leaker Dusk Golem and corroborated by IGN, Resident Evil Zero and Code Veronica are the next remake entries for the franchise, though no order was given to their release. Resident Evil Zero originally came out on Nintendo GameCube in 2002 and then received an HD remaster in 2016. Meanwhile, Resident Evil: Code Veronica released on Sega Dreamcast in 2000 before getting an HD remaster in 2011.

Fortnite Chapter 2 is ending. Epic has finally revealed that poorly-kept secret after about six weeks of rumors that grew and grew to the point where much of the fandom accepted it as fact long before the developer was ready to announce it. That means Fortnite Season 8 will be the final season of Chapter 2, and likely the final season on the island of Apollo before the assumed Chapter 3 ushers in a whole new world.

Some players have wondered about the reasoning behind that decision: Why is this chapter two seasons shorter than its predecessor? It’s this direct approach that encompasses all of Grapple Dog’s design philosophy, recalling the heyday of mascot platformers.
